Classification of Milling Cutter

According to product usage, milling cutter could be divided into the following categories:

1. Solid Carbide Drill

Solid carbide drill is a great option for excellent process security, manufacturing economy and good quality. They provide the best combination of penetration rate and precision, with tolerances capable of achieving IT8. Recondition your solid carbide drills for even greater cost efficiency.

2. Solid Carbide Reamer

Reamers are round cutting tools that enlarge the size of an existing hole, offering high quality of finish and straightness upon completion of the operation. Solid carbide reamer is suitable for the fine finishing of gray cast iron, ductile iron, aluminum alloy, medium carbon steel, stainless steel and other materials.

3. Non-Standard Milling Cutter

We could machine kinds of non-standard milling cutter for you according to your requirements. We manufacture cutters with Walter and other high precision grinding machines, which could ensure consistency of tool dimension.

4. End Mills for Woodworking

End mills for woodworking could be used in double sided laminated and veneered, natural wood and wood composites. Quality is of great importance all the time. We continually invest in the latest technology and equipment in keeping with our pledge for quality excellence.

5. End Mills for Stainless Steel

Using solid carbide material to process stainless steel, the milling speed should be at 40-60m/min. Milling of stainless steel should use climb milling to machine. Using solid carbide end mills with the high speed milling stainless steel can obtain good effect.

6. End Mills for Mould Steel

One of the most important factors in the process of mould steel cutting is creating an uniform distribution of machining allowance in each process for each tool. That is to say, you must use different diameter cutters(from big to small). In the process of mould steel, you need to use round blade milling cutter, ball end mill, etc.

7. End Mills for Aluminum

When processing Aluminum alloy, we generally recommend choosing three-blade end mill and YG carbide materials, which could reduce the chemical affinity between the cutting tool and aluminum alloy.

8. Roughing End Mills

Roughing end mills, also known as ripping cutters, or hoggers, are designed to remove large amounts of metal quickly and more efficiently than standard end mills. Coarse tooth roughing end mills remove large chips for heavy cuts, deep slotting and rapid stock removal on low to medium carbon steel and alloy steel prior to a finishing application. Five tooth roughing end mills remove less material but the pressure is distributed over many more teeth, for longer tool life and a smoother finish on high temperature alloys and stainless steel.
